THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION IS BASED ON THE MOST CURRENT DATA PROVIDED TO NOAA. - Afternoon
Update, 3/7/90 No oil has been transferred yet, but there are barges standing by. The
CIBRO SAVANNAH is still leaking, boom around the vessel appears to be containing the oil.
Two skimmers are on-scene. ELASTOL will not be used today, but its use will be discussed
again tomorrow. Ott went on an overflight this morning. Light sheens were observed south
of Tufts Pt. and north to Pralls Island. Most of the impacts are on the Staten Island
side of Arthur Kill.
