The NOAA Scientific Support Coordinator (SSC) was notified by MSO Honolulu on October 14,
1993.  The SSC participated in Regional Response Team (RRT) conference calls, coordinated
with resource  trustees in formulating response options, provided initial spill trajectory
analysis, prepared climatological information on sea heights and wind speed and directions
to help plan salvage operations, and develop daily weather forecasts for the spill site.
