NOAA Office of Response and Restoration report for 9/27/05 The Scientific Support Team conducted surveillance overflights of the major spill work sites. Hurricane Rita storm surge damaged booms and re-oriented oil but resulted in no major change in status. A few low-lying sites were still flooded and assessment is pending.
