NOAA Office of Response and Restoration Report for 9/28/05

Hurricane Katrina

Contractors continue to remobilize equipment and personnel at all 
sites.  Full cleanup efforts are hampered by Hurricane Rita damage and 
the need for site re-assessment.  Over flights were conducted with no 
significant findings.

Residual Volume Remaining: 47,629 bbl / 27SEP05
Reported Shoreline Effected: 13 miles / 27SEP05
Feet of Hard Boom Deployed: 25,500 feet / 27SEP05
Skimmers Employed: 49 / 27SEP05

Coastal Area Summary: Extensive overflights were conducted during the 
operational period.  Identified spills will be compared to pre-
Hurricane Rita data.   Assessment will continue over the next few days.

Mobile EOC: continued surveying grounded and abandoned vessels
