Hurricane Katrina

    * A Scientific Support Team has been sent to Morgan City, LA to work with the U.S.
Coast Guard on spills in that region.  Offshore surveillance is planned pending weather
and aircraft availability.
    * The Scientific Support Team is working with the U.S. Coast Guard to collect samples
from each of the major oil spills for source identification. 
    * The Scientific Support Team continues to work on multiple vessel salvage issues in
coastal Mississippi and Alabama to address coordination issues with the State and Federal
natural resource trustees.
