F/V Lady Frances

On the evening of 06OCT2009, Sector LA/LB notified NOAA ERD of a 32foot squid boat grounded near Smugglers Cove (Santa Cruz Island, CA) that is due for refloating and towing to Ventura Harbor. The F/V Lady Frances is carrying approximately 200 gallons of diesel fuel on board and shows no sign of pollution. Sector LA/LB requested information on oil fate and trajectory in the event that a spill occurs during the estimated 12-14hr transit.
