The morning of 07 APR 2010, the NOAA/OR&R/Emergency Response Division was contacted by the USCG-MSU Morgan City regarding a 7 mile rainbow sheen in the West Delta region of the Gulf of Mexico (off of LA). The USCG requested ERD evaluate trajectory implications regarding this incident.
